Jaime P. Gomez heads the sci-fi thriller Transfer Complete.

      Jaime P. Gomez (The Rookie, Training Day, Nash Bridges, Law & Order) is set to both star in and direct the independent sci-fi thriller Transfer Complete, a concept-rich feature that delves into artificial intelligence, time travel, and the ramifications of knowing the future before it unfolds. Renowned for his extensive work in American film and television, Gomez brings years of experience to the project, guiding a narrative that intertwines psychological tension with philosophical exploration.

      Developed and scripted by David Mokriski, Transfer Complete tells the story of a brilliant physicist whose revolutionary experiment opens a portal to the future utilizing an advanced AI system. As the technology begins to disclose forthcoming events, the scientist becomes increasingly obsessed with the potential it offers, compelling him to face questions regarding free will, ethics, and whether some revelations are better left undiscovered.

      Producer Devin Reeve, a member of the Television Academy, Producers Guild of America (PGA), and SAG-AFTRA, was drawn to the screenplay’s combination of ambitious concepts and emotional depth. “What attracted me to Transfer Complete was its use of science fiction to delve into something profoundly human. Behind the time travel, artificial intelligence, and suspense lies a narrative about obsession, consequence, and the lengths we are willing to go to confront the impossible. It’s intelligent, thought-provoking filmmaking that prompts audiences to grapple with the same questions long after the film concludes.”

      Mokriski, who also acts as executive producer, is the founder of Armchair Philosophy Films. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he concentrated on metaphysics and ethics in his academic pursuits. These themes form the core of the film, which investigates the moral ramifications of technological progress and humanity’s persistent quest to anticipate what lies ahead. Merging thought-provoking science fiction with character-driven storytelling, Transfer Complete raises a compelling question at its heart: if humanity is granted the ability to see the future, should it?
