DreamWorks Animation has released a teaser trailer for Shrek 5.

      Even though the release is still a year away, Universal Pictures has unveiled a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated next chapter of the cherished DreamWorks Animation franchise, Shrek 5.

      Directed by Shrek franchise veterans Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn, the film will see Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz returning to voice Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona, respectively. They are joined in the cast by Zendaya as Felicia, the daughter of Shrek and Fiona, along with Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo voicing their sons Fergus and Farkle.

      For the last twenty years, viewers have been captivated by the charming, unconventional escapades of a misunderstood ogre and his eclectic group of mischievous fairytale characters, inspired by the book by renowned author William Steig. Starting in 2001 with Shrek, which won the first Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature, Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona (along with their allies, families, and adversaries) have become an integral part of popular culture, reminding audiences worldwide that beauty is subjective.

      Shrek 5 is scheduled to be released in June 2027.
