Hot Toys commemorates the 40th anniversary of Aliens with a sixth scale figure of Ellen Ripley.
In honor of the 40th anniversary of Aliens, Hot Toys has introduced its sixth scale collectible figure of Ellen Ripley, influenced by Sigourney Weaver’s character in James Cameron’s 1986 sci-fi sequel. Below you'll find details on both the deluxe version and the artisan edition.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Aliens, Hot Toys proudly presents the 1/6th scale Ellen Ripley Collectible Figure (Deluxe Version). This Deluxe Version stands out due to its inclusion of an intricately detailed Ovomorph (Xenomorph Egg) and a themed display base resembling tendrils. This base can attach to the figure’s diorama base themed around Xenomorph remains, allowing collectors to recreate the chilling atmosphere of the Queen's chamber in their own displays. The figure boasts a newly crafted head sculpt that accurately represents Sigourney Weaver, featuring a finely sculpted curly shag hairstyle and separately movable eyeballs for a variety of intense expressions. To enhance realism, the figure is equipped with seamless silicone arms that perfectly display her sleeveless outfit.
Her custom fabric costume consists of a classic weathered white t-shirt and light blue-gray pants. Adding a touch of nostalgia for fans of pop culture and footwear, the figure is accompanied by her iconic Reebok Alien Stompers, designed with weathering effects. Ready for a serious bug hunt, her equipment includes the renowned M41A Pulse Rifle, an M240 Incinerator with a translucent orange flamethrower effect, and a wearable harness and bandolier for holding her M40 HEDP grenades, along with an ammunition crossbody bag.
Forty years ago, Aliens left an indelible mark on cinema, establishing itself as a pivotal sci-fi classic. As we commemorate its 40th anniversary, Hot Toys is excited to bring fans back to the film’s dramatic finale with the 1/6th scale Ellen Ripley Collectible Figure (Artisan Edition Deluxe Version), a limited edition masterpiece of just 3,000 units available in select global markets.
This edition is particularly notable for its hand-implanted wool hair on the head sculpt, designed to replicate Ripley’s black curly shag hairstyle. Each curl is rooted to provide a natural hair volume and texture, accurately portraying her sweat-drenched battle appearance. The craftsmanship also ensures the sculpt captures Sigourney Weaver’s likeness with a separate rolling eyeball mechanism. The figure’s body utilizes silicone arms to achieve a seamless and lifelike look.
