Netflix reveals the Fool Night anime series along with a trailer, poster, and promotional visuals.

      During its anime lineup announcement at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Netflix revealed that it is set to adapt Kasumi Yasuda’s celebrated manga Fool Night into a series.       Transfloration is a technology that embeds seeds into the bodies of individuals who are close to death, turning them into plants. This is the desperate measure humanity has resorted to in order to secure its survival. In a remote future where dense clouds shroud the sky, enveloping Earth in perpetual winter and darkness, much of the planet's plant life has perished. As a result of an acute oxygen deficit, humanity has established a society that depends on the limited oxygen supplied by Transfloration. A young man named Toshiro Kamiya lives in hardship, striving to pay taxes, manage living costs, and afford medication for his mentally ill mother. However, the harsh reality surrounding him gradually diminishes his hope. In this bleak world filled with despair, he opts for the path of the “Spiriflor”— the plants into which humans metamorphose.
