Colin Burgess Steps into a Dreamlike Realm in an Exclusive Trailer for In the Mouth, Secured for Release This Fall.
One of the most remarkable American indie films I’ve encountered in the past year features Colin Burgess from Free Time and Dad & Step-Dad in a surreal comedy. Cory Santilli’s In the Mouth had its premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival, and we are excited to reveal that Antenna Releasing has acquired the film for a limited theatrical release in September, followed by its streaming debut on Cineverse’s Fandor platform on October 6th, with a VOD release set for late October. In advance of this, we are pleased to present the trailer and poster.
The film is as quirky as it is charming, centering on a chronic worrywart who finds himself confined to his home after spotting a gigantic version of himself emerging from his front yard. “This film was born from pure frustration during a stretch of housebound agoraphobia that lasted several years,” Santilli comments. “We filmed it in 11 days with a team of five. I’m really thankful to this film for helping me take those initial steps back outside, and we’re all deeply appreciative to Antenna for believing in our project.”
“At Antenna, we champion the underdogs,” states Chief Acquisitions Officer Billy Ray Brewton. “In the Mouth is such a personal narrative, presented with vibrant creativity––it resonated with us immediately and seems like something that deserves wide visibility.”
Antenna, which also secured the Slamdance premieres Stolen Kingdom and Coroner to the Stars, was established by Ryan Verrill from The Disc-Connected and Someone's Favorite Productions network; filmmaker Francis Galluppi (Last Stop in Yuma County; the forthcoming Evil Dead Wrath); and filmmaker, film programmer, and podcaster Billy Ray Brewton. Antenna’s goal is to challenge and redefine the current landscape of independent film distribution through strong relationships with filmmakers, fairness, transparency, and a passionate commitment to elevating the art and its creators.
