Rooney Mara and Kate Mara Are in Harmony in the First Clip from Werner Herzog's Bucking Fastard.
A key highlight of this year's Venice Film Festival lineup was the return of Werner Herzog, whose new film Bucking Fastard is set to make its world premiere in competition. The movie features Kate Mara, Rooney Mara, Orlando Bloom, and Domhnall Gleeson, and the first clip has just been released, showcasing the lead sisters in perfect harmony.
Here's the synopsis: “BUCKING FASTARD tells the story of two sisters, Jean and Joan Holbrooke (Kate Mara, Rooney Mara), who are so closely bonded that they speak in unison, share love for the same man, and have identical dreams. They even make the same verbal slip at the same time. While we may not perceive the world as they do, we observe how the world responds to them – through the legal system and the media, through those who wish to assist them and those who seek to exploit them, through the eyes of both domestic and wild animals, and even through their own echoes deep within the earth.”
