Paramount Pictures has released the initial trailer for director Gina Prince-Bythewood’s upcoming adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s 2018 young adult fantasy novel, Children of Blood and Bone. Alongside the trailer, several character posters have been unveiled, highlighting Zelie (Thuso Mbedu), Inan (Damson Idris), Amari (Amandla Stenberg), Tzain (Tosin Cole), Admiral Kaea (Cynthia Erivo), Jumoke (Lashana Lynch), King Saran (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Queen Nehanda (Regina King), Lehan (Idris Elba), Mama Agba (Viola Davis), and Adetayo (Zackary Momoh). Set in the grand fantasy realm of Orïsha, a young woman embarks on a journey to reclaim the magic that was forcefully taken from her people. Joined by her brother and the king’s daughter and son, they revolt against his tyrannical reign.
