Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty! Trailer: Rinko Kikuchi Takes to the Dance Floor in Sundance Award Winner

      One of the standout films at this year's Sundance Film Festival, which garnered the U.S. Dramatic Directing award, Josef Kubota Wladyka's stylish and poignant Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty! is set to be released this fall. With a premiere date of September 25, Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled the first trailer and poster for the film featuring Rinko Kikuchi, Alberto Guerra, and Alejandro Edda.

      The synopsis states: “Driven by the spirit of Josef’s mother, Ha-Chan, HA-CHAN, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY! tells the story of Haru and Luis, who are passionate about competing in Tokyo’s ballroom dance scene. However, after an unexpected tragedy, Haru retreats into seclusion. When her friends encourage her to return to the dance studio, she finds herself drawn to the new instructor. As tension builds, she must confront what lies ahead.”
