Black Bear has released the first trailer for Wicker, an upcoming adaptation of Ursula Wills' renowned short story The Wicker Husband, directed and written by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson.
This fantasy comedy features Olivia Colman as a marginalized fisherwoman who hires a local basketmaker to create her a wicker husband. However, when he turns out to be more extraordinary than anyone expected, jealousy ensues, disrupting their small village.

Wicker is a bold comedic tale that explores themes of sex, marriage, and the absurdity of societal norms. It narrates the unique love story of an ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) who orders a husband from the village basketmaker (Peter Dinklage).
