The trailer for the dark satire Starsuckers has been released in anticipation of its world premiere at FrightFest.
Before its world debut at FrightFest later this month, a trailer for the satirical horror film Starsuckers has been released online. The plot centers around a couple, Chuck and Eileen, who win a weekend getaway with celebrities Bjorg Everglow and Sasha Nightshade. However, as their vacation begins, it becomes evident that these glamorous icons have nefarious motives, leading their weekend into a dark realm of manipulation, psychological games, and murder.
The film is penned and directed by The Butler Brothers, also known as Brett M. Butler and Jason G. Butler (known for Purgatory Jack, Unfriendly). The cast features Manon Ens-Lapointe, Steven Hobé, James Alex, Jersey Anderson, and Jacob Stickles. Check out the trailer below…
The narrative follows Chuck and Eileen, a typical couple who win a lavish weekend retreat with the glamorous celebrity duo Bjorg Everglow and Sasha Nightshade. Their dream getaway quickly descends into a nightmare filled with murder, manipulation, and psychological warfare as the celebrity couple's increasingly disturbing intentions come to light. What ensues is an unpredictable thriller that critiques our fascination with status, influence, and the alluring promise of experiencing someone else's life.
Starsuckers will premiere at FrightFest, which is scheduled from August 27th to August 31st.
