An Amiga classic returning to players with the Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection.

      Commodore International is venturing into game publishing with the announcement of the upcoming Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection. This compilation will include all six Alien Breed titles initially developed for Commodore’s Amiga computers. It will be released for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on September 24, with the Nintendo Switch version to be available at a later date. Watch the new trailer below…

      When Alien Breed was released in 1991, it quickly became one of the Amiga’s iconic games and established Team17 as an innovative studio. Following this success, five additional Alien Breed titles were launched, solidifying its status as one of the system's favorite franchises. The 35th Anniversary Collection marks the first time all six titles will be available on modern consoles and PCs. The included games are: Alien Breed (1991), Alien Breed: Special Edition (1992), Alien Breed II: The Horror Continues (1993, featuring ECS and AGA versions), Alien Breed: Tower Assault (1994, including Amiga and CD32 versions), Alien Breed 3D (1995, CD32 version), and Alien Breed 3D II: TKG (1996).

      Each game in the collection has been meticulously recreated from the original Commodore Amiga version, incorporating new features designed to enhance the gaming experience on modern systems, such as dual-stick control mapping, instant save states, retro screen filters, rumble feedback, and peer-to-peer online co-op in compatible titles.

      Players will have the option to choose between a modern 16:9 display or the classic 4:3 aspect ratio, and they can also attain an authentic 90s experience with professional-grade scanlines, CRT TV, and “Mega CRT” filters.

      Additionally, the collection includes a digital archive within the game universe, providing players with insights into the franchise's history, featuring exclusive developer interviews and retrospective videos from the original team. The Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection will be launched on September 24 on Steam, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation, and Epic Games Store, with the Nintendo Switch version to follow later.
