The teaser trailer for Hurry Up Tomorrow promises an exciting and unpredictable journey featuring Abel Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.
Director Trey Edward Shults (Waves) is known for his stunning visuals and intricate narratives, but Hurry Up Tomorrow may be his most unpredictable journey yet.
Hurry Up Tomorrow features Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye in a psychological thriller directed and edited by Shults, inspired by Tesfaye's sixth studio album of the same name. Shults co-wrote the screenplay with Tesfaye and Reza Fahim.
Details about the project remain scarce, and the enigmatic teaser that was released does not reveal much about the chaos that lies ahead. The film centers on a musician suffering from insomnia who embarks on a journey with a stranger who begins to unravel the essence of his being.
The album reportedly serves as a significant milestone in the career of the singer-turned-actor; Hurry Up Tomorrow marks the conclusion of The Weeknd’s musical trilogy following After Hours and Dawn FM. We've also seen The Weeknd in a cameo as himself in Uncut Gems and in a leading role in HBO’s The Idol. Shults' Hurry Up Tomorrow will be his debut feature film as an actor.
The cast includes Abel Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, with Gabby Barrett and Charli D’Amelio also making appearances. Check out the teaser below…
Hurry Up Tomorrow is scheduled to premiere exclusively in theaters on May 16th.
