The 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight makes a comeback with a unique collaboration featuring Resident Evil.
Behaviour Interactive has announced that the highly anticipated 2v8 game mode in Dead by Daylight will be available from February 10th to 25th, featuring a special partnership with the immensely popular Resident Evil franchise. In addition to well-known and feared characters such as Nemesis, this collaboration will introduce the Raccoon City Police Department into the arena rotation, making it a fitting setting for this event. The return of the 2v8 game mode will introduce The Nemesis and The Mastermind (Wesker) to the Killer roster, alongside the game’s original villain, The Legion. Players will have the opportunity to choose both Nemesis and The Mastermind as Killers. To enhance the experience for everyone, all Resident Evil characters will be available to play for free exclusively in 2v8 Mode throughout the event. On the Survivor side, players can select from Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers.
This latest iteration of the 2v8 mode includes several special gameplay features that align with the Resident Evil theme. As fans know, Herbs are crucial for maintaining character health, and this mode is no exception. At the beginning of a 2v8 Trial, Green and Yellow Herbs will spawn around the map, allowing players to restore 1 Survivor Health State with Green Herbs and 1 Hook State with Yellow Herbs. Killers can also permanently destroy these Herbs.
Both Nemesis and The Mastermind possess Powers in Dead by Daylight that allow them to infect and weaken Survivors using the T-Virus or Oroboros. If a Survivor becomes infected by either Killer, an antidote that can cure both infections will be available as the default item in Supply Crates. Additionally, to reduce queue times for Killers, the 2v8 mode will include two Survivor Bots in every lobby.
Make sure to log into Dead by Daylight between February 10th and 25th to participate in this thrilling event.
