Peter Dinklage joins the cast of Dexter: Resurrection.

      A new actor has joined the cast of Showtime's Dexter: Resurrection, with Peter Dinklage, known for his role in Game of Thrones, coming on board as a series regular, likely to portray the season's antagonist.

      Dinklage will take on the role of Leon Prater, described as “a billionaire venture capitalist. To the public, Leon presents himself as a generous philanthropist, but beneath his polished facade lies a web of dark intrigue.” This character is the employer of Uma Thurman's Charley, who is Leon’s Head of Security, and was announced as part of the cast last month.

      Dexter: Resurrection serves as a continuation of the 2021 miniseries Dexter: New Blood, featuring Michael C. Hall reprising his role as serial killer Dexter Morgan, alongside returning cast members David Zayas (Detective Angel Batista), James Remar (Harry Morgan), and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan). The new series is entering production following the successful premiere of the 90s-set prequel, Dexter: Original Sin, which became Showtime's most-streamed launch ever last month.

      Filming for Dexter: Resurrection is currently taking place in New York. While awaiting further updates on the series, viewers can catch the season finale of the prequel, Dexter: Original Sin, airing this Friday on Paramount+, followed by its showing on Showtime on Sunday night.

      Recently, Dinklage contributed his voice to Wicked and starred in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Snakes & Songbirds. He also appeared alongside Josh Brolin in the comedy Brothers and will soon be seen in Lear Rex and The Toxic Avenger.
