The action roguelite Demon Spore has released a trailer and a demo.
Null Games and developer DinoBoss have unveiled a new demo for their forthcoming action roguelite, Demon Spore, available on Steam. This demo allows players to venture solo or join up with three others in couch co-op, utilize Steam Remote Play Together for global collaboration, or a combination of both, as they strive to escape the first floor. A new trailer showcasing some of the intense co-op gameplay is available below.
Drawing inspiration from 80’s horror, Demon Spore immerses players in a state-of-the-art genetics research facility where a secret project aimed at creating a new food source has spiraled out of control. As an ever-growing mass of flesh and tentacles spreads throughout the building, players must navigate the labyrinth of rooms and corridors to scavenge for tools and makeshift weapons that will aid in their survival.
Up to four players can collaborate to escape the laboratory and explore a map that changes with each run. In true roguelite style, no two sessions will be identical.
The new demo will offer players the chance to experience the following features:
- Join forces with three other players in couch co-op or via Steam Remote Play, or a mix of both.
- Navigate the first floor of the Protagenics lab to reach the lift and make your escape.
- Experiment with six unique weapons, including a tesla coil gun and a scalpel thrower.
- Search the labs for equipment that enhances damage, boosts speed, and provides resistance to acid and flames, or influences the creature's growth.
- Uncover memos from other scientists detailing the outbreak, or interact with others for ammunition and medical supplies.
- Each character boasts a unique equipment perk tailored to their background.
- Utilize security consoles to seal rooms and corner the creature.
- Each run offers a fresh lab layout and different equipment.
Visit Demon Spore’s Steam page to try the demo ahead of its release later this year.
