The roguelite hack 'n' slash game Warriors: Abyss is now available on PC and consoles.

KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Omega Force have unveiled their latest installment in the iconic Warriors series, titled Warriors: Abyss, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S (with the Nintendo Switch version set to launch on February 14th). This roguelite hack-and-slash game transports players to Hell, where they are tasked with defeating a formidable evil. Check out the new trailer….

In Warriors: Abyss, players are summoned to Hell by Enma, the ruler of the Underworld, to confront the wicked Gouma. Players will journey into the Abyss, navigating through the fourth level of Hell while battling swarms of demonic foes. Fortunately, they can locate and recruit the souls of former heroes to aid in their quest.

To reach Gouma, players must choose their route carefully, taking into account the various challenges that lie ahead. They can opt for riskier paths that promise better rewards or safer routes that offer restorative items. Each attempt to progress to the fourth level of Hell will feature unique randomly generated heroes, items, and more.

Additionally, players can summon six more heroes to assist in combat using the “Summoning Heroes” action. Once summoned, these heroes provide unique strategies that can inflict significant damage on enemies or bolster the team. With the plethora of heroes and abilities available, the developers claim there are over 16 billion potential attack combinations.

New characters will be introduced for free post-launch, with the first update featuring characters from the Jin Kingdom of the Dynasty Warriors series.

Warriors: Abyss is available for purchase in Standard, Deluxe, and “Hack’n’Dash” Editions. Those who buy it before March 14th will receive the “Dynasty Warriors Classic Costume Set” as a bonus, which includes outfits for characters like Guan Yu and Zhou Yu from the original Dynasty Warriors game.
