Marvel has announced that Moon Knight will make a comeback, although it won't be in the form of a second season.

There is both good and bad news for fans of Marvel Television's acclaimed series, Moon Knight. The character is expected to make a return to the MCU, but unfortunately, it won't be in a standalone second season.

This somewhat expected update came from Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum during a conversation with ComicBook.com about the upcoming release of Daredevil: Born Again and the future of Moon Knight. “Marvel Television has evolved in waves, and Moon Knight was part of a group of shows designed to establish characters for future integrations,” he explained. “Now, however, our focus has shifted. We are creating series that can be released annually, more akin to traditional television. While I would love to witness a second season of Moon Knight, there are plans for the character in the future.”

Debuting in 2022 to mostly favorable reviews, the series led by Oscar Isaac showcased the story of Steven Grant, a gentle gift-shop worker who faces blackouts and memories from another life, ultimately discovering he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. The character last appeared in an episode of the third and final season of Marvel’s What If…?

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead, Moon Knight also featured Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, Gaspard Ulliel as Midnight Man, Lucy Thackeray as Donna, and May Calamawy as Layla.
