Undefined Survivors, an apocalyptic survival game reminiscent of Waterworld, is now available on Steam Early Access.

      Tokyo-based developer Runpath Inc has announced the Early Access launch of their new open-world survival crafting game, Undefined Survivors, on Steam. This new survival experience immerses players in a vast oceanic realm where they must strive to survive and thrive. Watch the trailer below…

      Undefined Survivors places players in a world ruled by a vast ocean, where the remnants of civilization lie submerged, surrounded by coral reefs and marine life. However, this oceanic environment presents tough challenges, including predatory sharks, other colossal creatures, and the struggles of hunger, thirst, and shelter. Players will have to utilize all available resources to endure in this enigmatic setting.

      In the game, players assume the role of a survivor who awakens on the shore of an island, devoid of memory regarding their identity or origin. The island shows no signs of human life but is filled with perilous wildlife, while beyond its shores lie the waves and ancient structures beneath the surface. Players must secure food, fresh water, and a safe haven until they can recover their memories.

      Players will also have the opportunity to explore underwater and construct bases beneath the waves, but to navigate the underwater kingdom for extended periods, crafting oxygen tanks will be essential. Utilizing these oxygen tanks may also aid in unlocking some of their character's memories.

      For those who have tried the free demo available on Steam, the Early Access version is four times the size and offers roughly five times the playtime.
