      Deadline has confirmed that the Stranger Things star will join Tom Holland in the upcoming film. However, Marvel and Sony have neither confirmed nor denied this casting.

      The specifics of Sadie Sink’s role remain undisclosed, but given her notable red hair, many fans are conjecturing that she may portray Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s famous love interest. There are also reports suggesting she could be linked to the role of X-Men’s Jean Grey.

      Additionally, Sink might take on the character of Gwen Stacy, but MCU Spider-Man enthusiasts have long expressed a desire to see the classic Mary Jane and Peter Parker dynamic. With Holland's Peter Parker moving on from Zendaya’s Michelle/MJ due to events in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's time for a new chapter in Peter’s story.

      Sink recently completed filming for the final season of Stranger Things and will next appear in the musical O’Dessa, which debuted at SXSW.
