A terrifying scarecrow is set loose in the trailer for the indie horror film Field of Screams.
A poster and trailer have been released online for Field of Screams, an upcoming indie horror film by writer-directors Alix Moad and Evan Runkle.
The story focuses on Allen, his partner Justin, and their friends as they become targets of a malevolent living scarecrow while cleaning out the farmhouse Allen has recently inherited. The film features a cast that includes J. Jordan Parsons, Jared Chandler, Calvin T. Shepard, Savanna Steinhoff, Charlize Delenn, and Justin Heinz. You can watch the trailer below.
After inheriting his late grandfather's farmhouse, Allen, his boyfriend Justin, and their friends Luke, Lisa, Britt, and Shane start to clean out the old house to prepare it for sale. As they pack and tidy up, tensions rise while Allen copes with his grief and Justin tries to maintain harmony within the group.
At the same time, a living scarecrow named Billy lurks in the shadows, murdering anyone who speaks negatively about his deceased creator or who intends to sell the land he inhabits. Billy uses the organs of his victims to create his own living scarecrows. With violent scarecrows hiding around every corner, Allen and his friends must put aside their personal conflicts and find a way to escape Billy's fury.
Field of Screams was released on VOD on May 6th.
