The Open Alpha playtest for Shadow of the Road has launched on Steam.

      Owlcat Games, in collaboration with Another Angle Games, has unveiled that the initial Open Alpha playtest for their forthcoming turn-based RPG, Shadow of the Road, is now live on Steam for PC.       In Shadow of the Road, players will delve into feudal Japan, where a fierce conflict exists between the Tokugawa Shogunate and Emperor Mutsuhito. In a realm where Japanese tradition, mythology, and steampunk technology interweave, players will guide a band of warriors on a quest to alter their fate.

      This Open Alpha is set to offer players four unique characters to choose from, each possessing distinct abilities tailored to various playstyles. As battles escalate in difficulty, players can unlock new skills for their characters.

      Participants will engage in intense fights throughout the Alpha, culminating in a challenging boss battle that tests their skills and strategies. In addition to the main quest, players will also have the opportunity to embark on several side quests, which will provide deeper insights into the game's mechanics and lore.
