
New trailer released for Karate Kid: Legends featuring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio.
Sony Pictures has unveiled a trailer and character posters for Karate Kid: Legends, the upcoming family drama that takes place three years after the events of Cobra Kai. Directed by Jonathan Entwistle, the film tells the story of kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang), who relocates from Beijing to New York following a family tragedy. As he struggles to adapt to his new environment and classmates, he decides to enter a karate tournament, seeking to develop new skills for the martial arts competition with the assistance of Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). In Karate Kid: Legends, after experiencing a family tragedy, kung fu talent Li Fong (Ben Wang) is forced to leave his home in Beijing and move to New York City with his mother. Li finds it difficult to move on from his past as he attempts to fit in with new classmates, and despite his reluctance to fight, trouble seems to follow him. When a new friend requires his assistance, Li joins a karate competition; however, his skills alone aren't sufficient. Li's kung fu mentor Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) reaches out to the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), for help, teaching Li a new fighting style that combines their techniques for an intense martial arts showdown.
The cast of Karate Kid: Legends includes Ben Wang, Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen.
Karate Kid: Legends is scheduled to be released on May 30, 2025.
