      After captivating audiences at CinemaCon this week, Disney has officially released the first trailer for TRON: Ares, the third installment in the sci-fi series that began with 1982's TRON and continued with 2010's TRON: Legacy. Directed by Joachim Rønning (known for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil), the film stars Jared Leto as Ares, an AI program dispatched from The Grid into the real world.

      Alongside Jared Leto, the cast includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, as well as Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges. You can view the trailer below, along with the initial poster and promotional images.

      “TRON: Ares” tells the story of a highly advanced program, Ares, who embarks on a perilous mission from the digital realm to the real world, representing humanity's first interaction with AI entities. TRON: Ares is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
