A biopic about Hershey is being developed, featuring Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario.

      Are you prepared to learn about the origins of one of the oldest American brands and a major chocolate manufacturer worldwide? According to Variety, Mark Waters (known for Mean Girls and Freaky Friday) will direct a film about Hershey, starring Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario.

      Wittrock will depict Milton Hershey, who, along with his wife Kitty (Daddario), created a candy empire that established a philanthropic legacy. In 1909, Milton and Kitty founded the Hershey Industrial School, offering free education and housing to orphans and underprivileged children. Two decades before his passing, Milton donated the majority of his wealth to the Milton Hershey School Trust, initiating one of the largest educational endowments in the United States.

      “Despite numerous challenges, Milton achieved tremendous success, but unlike many wealthy men of his era, he shared his achievements with the working class and the surrounding community,” remarked Mark Waters. “The essence of Hershey, the film, will focus on the profound love story between Milton and Catherine Hershey, who was instrumental in inspiring his most significant legacy — the founding of Milton Hershey School. I am thrilled to have Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario portraying these two visionaries, who wanted to leave the world better than they found it — a truly delightful and genuine story that audiences are eager to see right now.”

      Filming for Hershey is set to commence in May, with a target release date in 2026. At present, there is no distributor attached to the project.
