Zombie base-builder Final Outpost: Definitive Edition has received its release date and a new trailer.

Exabyte Games has revealed the launch date for their forthcoming zombie strategy base-builder, Final Outpost: Definitive Edition, set to be released on May 22nd. This announcement comes with a new trailer that gives players a glimpse of the challenges they will encounter in their quest for survival.

Since its initial launch in 2020, the original game has achieved over 1,000,000 downloads, and the new Definitive Edition will introduce numerous features, such as additional difficulty modes, various game modifiers, a new building type, and the option to establish new outposts. This edition will also include a replayable meta-progression system, a trading mechanism, an original soundtrack, and much more.

In Final Outpost: Definitive Edition, players will guide a group of survivors through a zombie-infested world. You can assign jobs to the survivors and construct buildings and fortifications to safeguard your town from the undead hordes. There are over 10 different jobs available for survivors, with the option to upgrade their skills for better gathering, defense, and repairs.

Players will have the ability to build and upgrade more than 12 types of buildings, which include housing for survivors, storage facilities for resources, production buildings, and farms for growing wheat to address the declining deer population. These structures will help ensure survival during droughts, brutal winters, and severe thunderstorms.

Zombies will consistently threaten the survivors, making it crucial to keep them at bay. Players will begin with just a basic knife but can expand their arsenal over time to include machine guns, crossbows, and sniper rifles.

Mark your calendars for the release of Final Outpost: Definitive Edition on May 22nd.
