
A large beta weekend for Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May.
As the launch date for Dune: Awakening approaches (10th June), Funcom has announced a large-scale Beta weekend set to take place from 9th to 12th May on Steam. Players selected for this extensive Beta will have the chance to delve into Frank Herbert's vivid and imaginative universe. Additionally, a new trailer has been released (see below) that offers insights into the game's narrative.
Dune: Awakening's largest Beta to date will give a significant number of players the opportunity to explore the desert planet of Arrakis and engage with the storyline, specifically encompassing the first 20 hours of gameplay and most of Act 1. To enter the Beta, players can visit the game’s Steam page, add it to their wishlist, and request access.
On 10th May, gamers can tune in to the Global Dune: Awakening LAN Party Broadcast, which will be streamed live from both London and PAX East. During this exciting event, viewers will hear discussions from the lead developers about the game and watch various content creators compete against each other in an engaging in-game challenge.
Dune: Awakening invites players to Arrakis on the orders of the Reverend Mother. Following her guidance, players will need to build their forces and bases while navigating the harsh deserts and gigantic Sand Worms. Players will encounter the Fremen, gain knowledge from them, and endure the most perilous yet stunning environment in the Dune universe.
