In anticipation of its theatrical debut this Friday, Sony Pictures has released a new featurette for the forthcoming video game adaptation Until Dawn, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the horror film. Director David F. Sandberg and writer Gary Dauberman discuss the film's practical effects; you can watch it below…
"One year after her sister Melanie mysteriously vanishes, Clover and her friends venture into the remote valley where she disappeared in search of answers. While exploring an abandoned visitor center, they are pursued by a masked killer and are gruesomely murdered one by one...only to awaken and find themselves back at the start of the same night. Trapped in the valley, they are compelled to relive the nightmare repeatedly—with the killer becoming increasingly more menacing each time. As hope fades, the group soon realizes they have a finite number of deaths left, and their only chance of escape is to survive until dawn."
The cast features Ella Rubin as Clover, Michael Cimino as Max, Ji-young Yoo as Megan, Odessa A’zion as Nina, Maia Mitchell as Melanie, Belmont Cameli as Abel, and Peter Stormare reprising his role as Dr. Alan J. Hill from the video game.
Until Dawn is set to hit theaters on April 25th.
