Rebellion has launched a significant update for the revival of the Bitmap Brothers’ futuristic sports franchise, Speedball. This new update introduces League Mode to the game, as well as fresh arena hazards, new tackles, and two additional arenas named Grand Central and King’s Terminus. The updated League Mode enables 10 teams to compete throughout a season to determine the ultimate champion. To participate in this league mode, players must build a squad of up to 18 all-stars and manage the rotation of players who are on the field, benched, or resting for each match. How players handle this rotation will be crucial in managing player fatigue and injuries.
The arenas allow for no rules, so players can bring in new members during the season to strengthen their team and substitute anyone who suffers an injury. It’s important to select the best team considering each player’s unique stats and traits, such as pyromaniac, rioter, and pitcher.
Speedball is a futuristic sport utilized by mega-corporations to entertain the impoverished, featuring fast, explosive, and unpredictable matches between two teams of violent, cybernetically enhanced players. Each team member possesses individual stats and traits that they can leverage during the game to enhance their team’s chances of victory.
