Titan Comics reveals collections of Blade Runner omnibus.
Titan Comics and Alcon Entertainment have revealed that they will be compiling their 'Ash saga' of Blade Runner comic series—Blade Runner 2019, Blade Runner 2029, and Blade Runner 2039—into three deluxe omnibus editions, which are set to be released later this year.
The comics are penned by Michael Green, the screenwriter of Blade Runner 2049, alongside Mike Johnson, with illustrations by artist Andres Guinaldo and colors by Marco Lesko. Each hardcover omnibus will feature two different covers, including a special edition for the direct market; you can view the covers and official information for all three editions here.
In Los Angeles, 2019, LAPD's top Blade Runner and detective, Aahna ‘Ash’ Ashina, is tasked with investigating the strange disappearance of Isobel and Cleo Selwyn, the wife and daughter of Alexander Selwyn, a business tycoon and close friend of Eldon Tyrell. Ash's journey will lead her through the crime-ridden depths of a rain-soaked, environmentally ravaged Los Angeles to the promised Off-World Colonies and back. Along the way, she will uncover a horrifying secret and a desperate conspiracy that forces her to confront her deep-seated hatred for Replicants—the synthetic humans she pursues with fierce determination. This volume includes Blade Runner 2019: Los Angeles, Blade Runner 2019: Off-World, and Blade Runner 2019: Home Again, Home Again.
Set a decade after the first critically acclaimed series, this omnibus sees Blade Runner Ash returning to track down rogue Replicants. However, Ash now has a new agenda that, if revealed, could turn her into humanity's enemy. When Ash gets involved in a lethal game of cat-and-mouse with a Renegade Replicant named YOTUN, a NEXUS 6 Replicant who has exceeded his four-year lifespan, she finds herself fighting for survival. Yotun, the head of a guerrilla army of fanatic Replicants, leads a rebellion to seize control of Los Angeles, and only Ash can stop him. This volume collects Blade Runner 2029 Vol 1: Reunion, Blade Runner 2029 Vol 2: Echoes, and Blade Runner 2029 Vol 3: Redemption.
The epic tale of Ash reaches its climax as she confronts her most significant challenge yet. Two decades have passed since Ash aided a young girl and her Replicant mother in escaping her sadistic father, Alexander Selwyn, to an Off-world colony. Now, Niander Wallace, the heir to the Tyrell empire, has ordered the capture of Cleo, believing her DNA contains the key to Replicant fertility. Former Blade Runner Aahna ‘Ash’ Ashina must again return to Los Angeles to rescue the city she cares for from the deranged plans of Niander Wallace and his personal Replicant assistant, Luv, the first Replicant Blade Runner, while also fulfilling a promise made long ago to safeguard those she cherishes. The future of all Replicants hangs in the balance. This volume compiles Blade Runner 2039 Vol 1: Redemption, Blade Runner 2039 Vol 2: Upgrade, and Blade Runner 2039 Vol 3: Ash.
The release dates for the omnibus editions are as follows: Blade Runner 2019: The Complete Series Omnibus will be available on September 2nd, Blade Runner 2029: The Complete Series Omnibus will follow on October 7th, and Blade Runner 2039: The Complete Series Omnibus will be released on November 4th.
