Nick Jonas will portray Paul Stanley in McG's KISS film.

      McG's KISS film has secured its first band member as Deadline reports that Nick Jonas will portray KISS lead vocalist, Paul Stanley, in the biopic titled Shout It Out Loud.

      Shout It Out Loud centers on the origins of the ’70s glam rock band. This project has been in development for a while by Mark Canton, Simmons, Stanley, and Doc McGhee, in collaboration with Jody Gerson for Universal Music Publishing Group and Polygram Entertainment. Bruce Resnikoff from Universal Music Group/Ume, who manages the band’s song publishing and recorded music rights globally, is also involved.

      According to the outlet, McG is currently focusing on casting the role of Gene Simmons, the legendary bass player known for his fire-breathing and blood-spitting antics, who co-founded the band with Stanley. There is no information yet on who will be chosen for the part.

      Jonas has an acting portfolio that extends beyond his early Disney projects and work with the Jonas Brothers; he has appeared in Kingdom, Jumanji, The Good Half, and portrayed singer Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys Live. He will also star alongside Paul Rudd in John Carney’s Power Ballad for Lionsgate.

      Shout It Out Loud is expected to commence production by the end of this year or early 2026.
