Roxy Cinema: The Matrix Reloaded and In the Spirit are both showing on 35mm this Friday, with In the Spirit also screening on Saturday; Barry Lyndon will be presented on Sunday.
Film Forum: All five films featuring John Cazale are screening; the 4K restoration of Shall We Dance?, showcasing Masayuki Suo’s cut, and a new 35mm print of 8½ are ongoing; Elia Kazan’s A Tree Grows In Brooklyn will be shown on Sunday.
Museum of Modern Art: A Theater Near You presents films by Welles, Raoul Walsh, Ozu, Dreyer, Renoir, and others.

IFC Center: Ran is being shown in a 40th-anniversary restoration; Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, and Happiness screen daily; late showings include Romeo + Juliet, A Clockwork Orange, Gummo, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and a print of The Descent.
Nitehawk Cinema: The Goonies will be screened early on Saturday and Sunday.
Metrograph: Law of Desire, Funny Ha Ha, Mutual Appreciation, Somewhere, A Star Is Born, and several films in the Mikio Naruse series are showing on 35mm; Shanghai Dreams is set to begin while a Mumblecore retrospective, alongside The Show Must Go On, Volver a Carmen, Daughter of Water, and Guided By Animals, continues.
