Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor makes a comeback in Doctor Who: Time War - Uncharted: Pursuit.

      Fans of Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor can now experience a new audio adventure from Big Finish Productions. Doctor Who: Time War – Uncharted: Pursuit continues from the dramatic conclusion of last year’s box set, Time War – Uncharted: Reflections, which featured the Doctor's great-grandson Alex stealing the TARDIS. This new box set includes four hour-long full-cast adventures.

      In this installment, the Doctor, who has turned against Alex and Cass, receives help from Hieronyma Friend, the cunning temporal diplomat who can take on the appearances of the Doctor's former companions. This time, Hieronyma appears as Tamsin Drew and Gemma Griffin, portrayed by Niky Wardley and Lizzie Hopley.

      The four fresh adventures in this box set are:

      ‘Spoil of War’ by Mark Wright – When Alex and Cass arrive at an ominous stately home, they realize they were anticipated. As other guests gather for an exclusive auction, the duo wonders about the unique item they are bidding for. Meanwhile, the Doctor and Hieronyma Friend are closing in on them.

      ‘The Tale of Alex’ by Katharine Armitage – Renowned as a savior of worlds and a champion of justice, Alex's arrival at the planet Igg brings joy to the locals. However, the nefarious Doctor has his own schemes and is coming closer.

      In ‘See-Saw’ by James Moran, Alex and Cass pick up a distress signal that leads them to a deserted 1920s London. When the Doctor and Friend arrive at the same time and location, they find the city entirely empty, but they cannot see one another. The eerie sound of unfinished nursery rhymes fills the air.

      Finally, in ‘The First Forest’ by Tim Foley, the Doctor crash-lands in a peculiar forest, surrounded by both allies and adversaries. It will take time for the Doctor to realize he has journeyed farther than his people ever imagined, to a period before the Time Lords ventured from their home.

      Joining Paul McGann in the voice cast are Sonny McGann, Emma Campbell-Jones, Dan Starkey as the Sontarans, Wanda Opalinska, Louise Faulkner, Sam Stafford, Indra Ové, Vineeta Rishi, Felicity Cant, Clive Hayward, and John Ramm.
