      In anticipation of its theatrical premiere this August, Troma Entertainment has released a new red band trailer for Macon Blair’s remake of Lloyd Kaufman’s cult classic superhero comedy, The Toxic Avenger. The film features Peter Dinklage in the lead role as an oppressed janitor who transforms into a mutant vigilante after a terrible accident, becoming the hero we desperately need.

      Alongside Peter Dinklage as Toxie, the cast includes Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Julia Davis, and Taylour Paige. Take a look at the trailer below…

      When Winston Gooze, a struggling janitor, encounters a disastrous toxic event, he is turned into an unconventional hero: The Toxic Avenger. Toxie must now rise from his status as an outcast to become a savior, confronting cruel corporate powers and corrupt individuals who endanger his son, friends, and community. In a world plagued by greed, justice is best delivered in a radioactive form.

      The Toxic Avenger is set to hit theaters on August 29th.
