Sepideh Moafi has been added as a series regular in season 2 of The Pitt.
HBO Max's successful medical drama, The Pitt, has welcomed Sepideh Moafi (The L Word: Generation Q) to its ensemble cast. Moafi will take on a regular role as an attending physician in emergency medicine. The Pitt stands out as its inaugural season concentrated on a single 15-hour ER shift, where doctors and surgeons confronted one trauma after another along with their personal challenges.
The second season is currently in production, with little information available about the upcoming episodes. However, a time leap has been hinted, suggesting that characters might be seen in new roles at the hospital alongside new faces. The next season's timeframe may revolve around the July 4th weekend, as the storyline is likely to reflect the injuries resulting from the holiday celebrations.
In addition to Moafi, the cast will also see newcomers Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, and Lucas Iverson in recurring roles. The Pitt was developed by R. Scott Gemmill and John Wells, with series lead Noah Wyle serving as both a writer and an executive producer.
The Pitt provides a realistic portrayal of the difficulties faced by healthcare workers in modern America, showcased through the experiences of frontline heroes in a contemporary hospital in Pittsburgh.
The cast includes Noah Wyle, Tracey Ifeachor, Patrick Marron Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Katherine LaNasa.
