Leonardo DiCaprio Shows No Fear in New Teaser for Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another.

We are now less than three months away from the highly anticipated release of Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. Set to debut on September 26, the film is primed for a fall festival circuit, should PTA choose to pursue that route, and will be available in IMAX and 70mm formats. If you watched F1 this past weekend, you might have caught a new teaser trailer for the film showcasing additional footage, which is now available online.

This film marks the long-awaited collaboration between the director and Leonardo DiCaprio, which was attempted nearly thirty years ago during the making of Boogie Nights. The action-thriller-comedy draws inspiration from Thomas Pynchon’s expansive 1990 novel, Vineland. Although the novel is set during the Reagan administration, PTA has adapted the story to a contemporary setting, focusing on a father who has abandoned his radical past and is now living discreetly on the run with his daughter. Their quiet life is disrupted when Sean Penn’s Colonel character, a white supremacist from the past, returns to track them down, forcing them to flee.

The film also stars Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro, Chase Infiniti, Wood Harris, and Alana Haim. Early reports from the initial test screenings indicate that the movie is filled with "loads of action and car chases"—including a "phenomenal" chase during the climax—and is the "closest we’ll ever get" to a full-fledged PTA action movie.
