Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming second season of Platonic, a comedy series featuring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as two close friends navigating the complexities of their adult lives amidst the chaos of their families and friends.
Platonic centers around Sylvia, played by Byrne, and Will, portrayed by Rogen, who are former best friends that reconnect after a lengthy separation, rekindling their codependent relationship as they face midlife crises and the resulting drama within their families.
The second season will revolve around “everyone's favorite duo of best friends (Rogen and Byrne) as they tackle new midlife challenges, including work, weddings, and partners in distress. The pair strives to support each other – but sometimes, rocks can cause damage.”
Platonic is created, written, and directed by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. In addition to Rogen and Byrne, the series features Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, and Carla Gallo, while Aidy Bryant (Shrill), Kyle Mooney (Y2K), and Beck Bennett (Superman) will join for the second season.
