In anticipation of its digital release this September, a poster and trailer for Racheal Cain’s sci-fi horror film Somnium have been unveiled online.
The story centers on Gemma (Chloë Levine), a young woman who works the night shift at an experimental sleep clinic to support herself while dreaming of making it big in Los Angeles. As she navigates her new life, she spirals into a disturbing world of hallucinations, confusion, and paranoia, leading her to become increasingly detached from her own reality.
The cast features Will Peltz, Peter Vack, Johnathon Schaech, and Grace Van Dien. You can watch the trailer below…
After a difficult breakup, small-town Gemma relocates to Los Angeles with aspirations of success. To stabilize her finances, she takes a job at Somnium, a mysterious experimental sleep clinic where dreams come to life. At the same time, Gemma immerses herself in the competitive realm of Hollywood auditions. However, as the pressure to achieve rises, she begins to encounter strange and unsettling experiences, ultimately finding herself caught in a terrifying descent as she uncovers a darkness hidden within the clinic.
Somnium will be available digitally on September 9th.
