The survival horror game I Hate This Place reveals a gameplay trailer.

Broken Mirror Games, Skybound Entertainment, and developer Rock Square Thunder have unveiled the first gameplay trailer for their isometric survival horror game, I Hate This Place. The new trailer (view it below) showcases some of the grotesque monsters players will encounter in the distorted world they inhabit.

I Hate This Place transports players to a warped wilderness, where incomprehensible creatures and a harsh environment will test their survival abilities. With a striking comic book art style, players will navigate through this world, scavenge for resources, and create a variety of weapons. During the day, players will collect supplies, craft gear, and strengthen their shelter in preparation for nightfall, when chaos ensues.

Inspired by Skybound’s Eisner Award-nominated comic book series created by writer Kyle Starks and artist Artyom Topilin, I Hate This Place places players in the role of Elena, who finds herself pursued in a perilous world after inadvertently summoning a sinister force. Elena must thoroughly search Rutherford Ranch, including eerie forests, a forsaken town, and infested bunkers, to collect crucial resources.

      The game includes:

A dynamic day-night cycle that alters the environment. Players will gather supplies and bolster their shelter during the day, but must brace for intense battles against tougher and more aggressive foes at night.

Utilize both stealth and combat. Many creatures will track Elena by sound, allowing players to use this to their advantage and trap them.

A retro comic book aesthetic brimming with color and infused with a heavy dose of 1980s flair.

I Hate This Place is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
