Zack Snyder's The Last Photograph features Stuart Martin and Fra Fee.

      Zack Snyder is set to embark on his newest film, as he approaches production on his long-anticipated passion project, The Last Photograph. Stuart Martin and Fra Fee, both of whom collaborated with Snyder on Netflix's Rebel Moon, will take on lead roles. Snyder will direct the film from a script written by Kurt Johnstad, with Snyder credited for the story, and he will also produce in conjunction with Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller through Stone Quarry.

      Snyder expressed, “The concept of picking up a camera and creating a film in a personal manner is very appealing to me. The Last Photograph serves as a reflection on life and death, encapsulating some of the challenges I've faced in my own life and delving into those themes through the medium of imagery."

      The narrative centers on a former DEA agent who must venture back into the South American mountains to locate his missing niece and nephew after their diplomat parents are brutally murdered. He teams up with a troubled ex-junkie war photographer, the sole witness to the killers' identities, and sets off determined to uncover the truth and save the children, all while confronting the shadows of his past. Their expedition into unfamiliar territory pulls them further away from civilization, challenging their beliefs and blurring the lines between reality and the surreal.

      Production on The Last Photograph is scheduled to commence this month, continuing through November in locations including Iceland, Colombia, and Los Angeles.
