Vertical Releasing has unveiled the trailer for Last Days, directed by Justin Lin, known for the Fast and Furious series. The film tells the true story of a 26-year-old missionary who disregards all warnings and embarks on a journey to a remote island to convey his message to an uncontacted tribe.
The screenplay, adapted by Ben Ripley (Source Code), is based on Alex Perry's article "The Last Days of John Allen Chau" published in Outside magazine. It features Sky Yang (Rebel Moon) as Chau, along with Ken Leung (LOST), Radhika Apte (Sister Midnight), Naveen Andrews (The English Patient), Toby Wallace (Babyteeth), and Ciara Bravo (Cherry). "Based on real events, Last Days chronicles John Allen Chau's perilous quest around the world to share his faith with the secluded tribe of North Sentinel Island, while a detective races against time to prevent him from causing harm to himself or the tribe."
Last Days is set to hit theaters on October 24th, 2025.
