Netflix releases a new trailer for Train Dreams featuring Joel Edgerton.
Netflix has unveiled a new trailer and poster for Train Dreams, the upcoming drama directed by Clint Bentley (Jockey, Sing Sing).
Based on Denis Johnson’s 2011 novella, the film chronicles the life of logger and railroad worker Robert Grainier (Joel Edgerton) during a period of significant change in early 20th century America.
Joining Edgerton in the cast are Felicity Jones, Nathaniel Arcand, Clifton Collins Jr., John Diehl, Paul Schneider, Kerry Condon, and William H. Macy, with Will Patton providing the narration. Watch the trailer below…
Train Dreams is a poignant portrayal of Robert Grainier (Golden Globe-nominee Joel Edgerton), whose journey unfolds during an era of immense transformation in early 20th century America. Orphaned at a young age, Robert matures among the towering forests of the Pacific Northwest, contributing to the expansion of the nation’s railroad system alongside men as memorable as the landscapes they inhabit. Following a heartfelt courtship, he marries Gladys (Academy Award-nominee Felicity Jones) and they create a home together, although his job frequently takes him away from her and their young daughter. When an unexpected shift occurs in his life, Robert discovers beauty, brutality, and a renewed significance for the forests and trees he has cut down.
