A new trailer for The Housemaid featuring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried has been released.
Lionsgate has unveiled a new trailer for Paul Feig’s upcoming adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, The Housemaid.
The thriller centers on Millie (Sydney Sweeney), a young woman who takes a position as a live-in maid for the affluent Winchesters while attempting to escape her past. However, the seemingly perfect job quickly turns perilous as the couple's facade begins to crumble, leading Millie into a web of secrets, scandals, and power struggles.
In addition to Sydney Sweeney, the cast features Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins.
From director Paul Feig, the film immerses viewers in a distorted reality where perfection is merely an illusion and things aren’t what they appear. In her quest to flee from her past, Millie (Sweeney) accepts a role as a live-in housemaid for the affluent Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). Yet, what starts as an ideal job rapidly devolves into a more treacherous situation — a seductive, thrilling game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the closed doors of the Winchesters lies a realm of shocking turns that will keep you guessing until the final moments.
The Housemaid will be released in theaters on December 19th.
