In "Widow’s Bay," something ominous lies beneath the surface. Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys) is eager to rejuvenate his struggling community. With no wifi and unreliable cell service, he faces superstitious locals who think their island is cursed. He seeks their respect, but they see him as weak and cowardly—and he is. Yet Loftis is resolute in his goal to secure a better future for his teenage son and transform the island into a tourist hotspot. Against the odds, he succeeds: tourists begin to arrive. Unfortunately, the locals' concerns prove valid. After years of peace, the old tales that seemed too ridiculous to be real start to unfold once more.
"Widow’s Bay" is set to premiere on Apple TV on April 29th.
