Marvel has released the official trailer for its upcoming Special Presentation, The Punisher: One Last Kill, featuring Jon Bernthal once again stepping into the role of Frank Castle/The Punisher.

It remains unclear exactly where this fits into the MCU timeline—whether it's set before the first season of Daredevil: Born Again or after Frank's escape from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force's prison at the conclusion. However, one clear takeaway from the trailer is that he continues to dispense justice to criminals while also addressing his own past traumas.

Bernthal has been portraying The Punisher for almost a decade, starting with the second season of Netflix's Daredevil and continuing through two seasons of The Punisher, before reappearing alongside Charlie Cox in Marvel Studios’ Daredevil Born Again. He has co-written One Last Kill with director Reinaldo Marcus Green, and his Punisher co-star Jason R. Moore will also feature in the special. Additionally, Bernthal will reprise his role as The Punisher in the upcoming summer film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

“In A Marvel Television Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill, Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge when an unforeseen force draws him back into the battle.”

The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to debut on Disney+ on May 12th, 2026.
