Stranger Things: Tales From '85 is set to return for its second season this fall.
Netflix has revealed that the Stranger Things universe will expand with the new animated series Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, which has already been renewed for a second season after the first season premiered at #7 in the Netflix Global Top 10.
“Working on Season 1 has been an incredibly fulfilling experience,” said showrunner Eric Robles. “Now that it’s available to the public, witnessing fans engage with these characters—whether they’ve loved them for years or are encountering them for the first time—has been truly remarkable. I’m eager to continue this journey.”
“We’re excited to revisit the winter of ’85 for the second season,” Robles added. “The Hawkins Investigators Club is back, and a new paranormal danger has surfaced from the town's abandoned silver mines. I can’t wait for fans to see where this entity and the mysterious blue flower, which we last saw blooming in the Upside Down at the conclusion of Season 1, will take our young heroes.”
A brief summary for the second season states: “After revealing a formidable mystery at the end of Season 1, Eleven (voiced by Brooklyn Davey Norstedt), Mike (Luca Diaz), Will (Benjamin Plessala), Dustin (Braxton Quinney), Lucas (Elisha “EJ” Williams), Max (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport), and Nikki (Odessa A’zion) will confront another dangerous threat when new episodes arrive on Netflix this fall.”
Return to Hawkins with Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an engaging new animated series from showrunner Eric Robles and executive producers the Duffer Brothers. In the winter of 1985, the town is blanketed in snow, and the terrors of the Upside Down are finally beginning to recede. Our heroes Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max have returned to a normal life filled with D&D, snowball fights, and peaceful days. However, beneath the ice, something frightening has stirred. Could it be from the Upside Down? From the depths of Hawkins Lab? Or from an entirely different source? Our heroes must hurry to unravel this mystery and save Hawkins in this new story set within the Stranger Things universe.
