Hocus Pocus 3 is officially in the works, with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy set to reprise their roles.

The enchanting spell will return to audiences as Disney has officially announced that Hocus Pocus 3 is in development, featuring the original trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprising their memorable roles as the Sanderson Sisters.

The announcement for a third Hocus Pocus was made in 2023, but progress stalled until now. According to Deadline, Disney plans to release Hocus Pocus 3 in theaters, unlike the second film, which premiered directly on Disney+. Hocus Pocus 2 enjoyed significant success on Disney+ upon its 2022 release, becoming the platform's most-streamed new film at that time, and was generally well-received by both critics and fans of the original film.

Released in 1993, Hocus Pocus depicted the Sanderson Sisters being brought back to life in modern times, with just one night to fulfill their spell for immortality before facing death once more. They try to abduct a group of teenagers and children, who spend the night trying to thwart the witches. The sequel shifted focus to a new group of teenagers who inadvertently brought the Sanderson Sisters back, leading them to once again pursue their malevolent quest for immortality.

Currently, there are no details available regarding the plot or director of the third film, nor whether original cast members who were not included in the sequel, such as Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, and Jason Marsden, will return for this installment.
