The talented Willem Dafoe brings his subtle gravitas to the character of Ed Saxberger, a forgotten New York poet employed at the post office. When an eager young fan (Edmund Donovan) shows up at his door, Saxberger is drawn into a circle of twentysomethings who hail him as a revived genius. Captivated by the attention—and the enchanting presence of Gloria, the group's "tragic heroine" (a captivating, Kurt Weill-singing Greta Lee)—Saxberger begins to confront the authenticity of his newfound poetic companions.
Late Fame is set to hit theaters on August 7th.
