      Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the official trailer for Verity, a star-studded adaptation of the worldwide best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover, known for It Ends With Us. Directed by Michael Showalter (The Idea of You) and featuring a screenplay co-written by Nick Antosca (Cape Fear) and Colleen Hoover, Verity is a psychological thriller that depicts the journey of a struggling writer hired to ghost-write a book series for an injured best-selling author. During her stay at the author's residence, she stumbles upon a terrifying manuscript and must decide whether to reveal the truth.

      Based on Colleen Hoover’s acclaimed novel, this enticing psychological thriller follows the story of renowned author Verity Crawford (played by Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (played by Dakota Johnson), a writer who moves to the isolated Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. When Lowen discovers what seem to be Verity’s unsettling autobiographical notes, she grapples with the disturbing and twisted revelations about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and struggles to distinguish between fiction and reality, manipulation and attraction, as well as opportunity and obsession.

      Verity will be released exclusively in theaters starting October 2nd.
