In the latest trailer for Whalefall, Austin Abrams finds himself as a meal for a sperm whale.

      A new trailer has surfaced for Whalefall, a forthcoming race-against-time thriller from 20th Century Studios where Austin Abrams (Weapons) is engulfed by a gigantic sperm whale. Directed by Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You), the film is based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Daniel Kraus, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of the novel. The cast also includes Josh Brolin (The Dog Stars), Elisabeth Shue (Cocktail), and John Ortiz (Nobody 2). Take a look at the newly released poster and trailer below…

      After the passing of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central California coast in pursuit of his remains, only to be swallowed by an enormous sperm whale. While trapped in its belly with just one hour of oxygen left, Jay understands that the valuable lessons his father taught him could be crucial for his survival.

      Whalefall hits theaters on October 16th.
