Pet Shop Days Trailer: Olmo Schnabel’s Directorial Debut, Supported by Martin Scorsese, is Set to Hit Theaters This March.

      Debuting at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, Olmo Schnabel’s first feature, Pet Shop Days, has been showcased at the Chicago International Festival, SXSW, and other venues. The drama, which has the backing of executive producers including Martin Scorsese, Jeremy O. Harris, and Michel Franco, is set to be released in theaters next month through Utopia. Prior to screenings in New York City at Roxy Cinema on March 15 and Los Angeles at Now Instant Image Hall on March 28, a new trailer and poster for the film have been released. The cast includes Dario Yazbek Bernal, Jack Irv, Willem Dafoe, Peter Sarsgaard, Maribel Verdú, Jordi Mollà, Camille Rowe, Emmanuelle Seigner, and Louis Cancelmi.

      The synopsis reads: “In a desperate move, impulsive outsider Alejandro escapes his home in Mexico. While evading his harsh father, Alejandro arrives in New York City, where he encounters Jack, a college-aged pet store worker dealing with his own family issues. Their connection sparks a tumultuous romance that pulls them into the depths of drugs and depravity in Manhattan's underbelly. As Alejandro’s troubled past begins to resurface, Jack must decide between his family and a life of fleeing.”
